What is Homecare?
Homecare should not be confused with home health care. Most homecare companies are not licensed to go far beyond recording basic vital measurements. However, sometimes it is necessary to take and record vital signs as well as record other measurements and oftentimes intervention from a home health agency is required. To reduce costs, consider mixing the two services, Alarys Home Health offers both home healthcare and personal non-health care.
All of our homecare employees are considered “caregivers.” They come to the home or senior facility to provide any or all of the following services and more:
- Cooking and light housekeeping
- Laundry and change of bed linens
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Companionship and social activities
- Bathing, dressing and grooming assistance
- Transportation to doctor appointments, church, supermarket, pharmacy
- Assisting with walking and transfer from bed to wheelchair
- Status reporting to family
- Medication reminders
Alarys Home Health’s Companion Care and Attendant Care services enable the elderly, children and disabled to live independently at home.
If you need someone to administer and adjust medication levels, tend to wounds that need to be monitored and dressed, or anything similar, you would be interested in home healthcare, not homecare services. Home Healthcare is provided by trained medical personnel and is therefore more expensive.
